Open Doors

Guest Writer Maria Castaldo of Grove, Oklahoma

A lot of people think when nothing in their life seems to be going right it means they are doing something wrong or that they are in sin. I don’t believe that to be true. At least not all of the time.

Most of the time in my life when everything seems to be going wrong and nothing is letting up and I just feel like, “Why am I at this job?”, or “Why do I feel this way?”, it is God’s way of telling me that things are about to change. I have a word God gave me a few days ago that I would like to share. It went something like this:

“You adjust to changes in your life without even realizing it. Things go wrong and you feel lost because I am about to take you to a new place. I am about to open a door. You just have to look for it.”

And when I think about it that is so true. God won’t just drop a random door in front of you one day as you’re driving down the road and say, “Go on through that.” You have to bee seeking Him and on your knees. The scripture from Matthew 7:7 reads, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you.” You don’t need to know ahead of time where God is going to take you, or what He has in store for you. The whole idea is for you to put your trust in Him and have faith that everything will turn out how it is supposed to. But if you are knocking, asking, and seeking He will come through for you!

Whether it be your job, friends you are or are not supposed to have, finances, or the “right” one (spouse) that some of us are still waiting on… Sometimes God causes you to get uncomfortable in the place that you are at so that you will more easily except the change and the opportunities He is bringing your way.

Where He wants to take you is always His perfect will for your life.
